# Placement Catalog

> Learn how to bundle multiple placements and share them with advertisers.

## Who is this guide for?

This guide is for anyone who runs a Placement Catalog with a **Retailer** or **Admin** account.

* You want to bundle multiple placements into a package to offer to advertisers
* You want to create a space where advertisers can browse and select placements
* You want to share placement performance data with advertisers

***

## Before you begin

<Note>
  The following conditions must be met:

  * Access to the A2 admin console (Placement Catalog read/write permission)
  * **At least one placement** created to include in the catalog
</Note>

***

## What is a Placement Catalog?

A Placement Catalog is **a feature that bundles multiple placements together and shows them to advertisers**.

For example:

* "Premium banner package" - a catalog bundling the main top, sidebar, and bottom banners
* "Mobile-only placements" - a catalog of only mobile app/web placements
* "Seasonal promotion" - a catalog of placements offered during a specific event period

Advertisers can browse the catalog and submit an **allocation request** for the placements they want.

## Step 1: Create a catalog

### Enter basic information

1. In the **Placement Catalog** menu, click **Create new catalog**.
2. Enter the following information:

| Field | English | Description | Example |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Name** | Name | Catalog name | "Premium banner package" |
| **Description** | Description | An introduction to the catalog | "A collection of key banner placements on the main page" |

<Tip>
  Describe which placements are included and which advertisers they suit, so advertisers can understand the catalog easily.
</Tip>

***

## Step 2: Add placements

Select the placements to include in the catalog.

1. Click the **Add placement** button.
2. Check the placements to add from the list.
3. Click **Done**.

### Good to know

* A single placement can be **included in multiple catalogs**.
* Deleting a catalog **does not affect its placements**.
* A catalog only groups placements for display; it has no effect on the placements themselves.

***

## Step 3: Configure sharing

Configure how the catalog is shared with advertisers.

### Choose visibility (Visibility)

| Setting | English | Description | When to use |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Public** | Public | Anyone with the link can view it | When sharing widely with advertisers |
| **Private** | Private | Not accessible externally | For internal management, or before publishing |

### Password protection (Password Protection)

If you set a password on a public catalog, viewers need the password even if they have the link.

| Field | English | Description |
| - | - | - |
| **Enable password** | Enable Password | When checked, a password input field appears |
| **Password** | Password | The password you send to advertisers separately |

<Note>
  A password is useful when you want to share selectively with specific advertisers.
</Note>

***

## Step 4: Include performance data

Choose whether to show placement performance data to advertisers.

### Whether to include performance data

| Setting | Description |
| - | - |
| **Don't include** | Show only basic placement information (size, type, etc.) |
| **Include** | Also show the selected performance metrics |

### Metrics you can include

When you include performance data, you can choose only the metrics you want from the following:

| Metric | Description |
| - | - |
| **Impressions (Impression)** | Number of times the ad was displayed on screen |
| **Clicks (Click)** | Number of times the ad was clicked |
| **Click-through rate (CTR)** | Ratio of clicks to impressions |
| **Revenue (Revenue)** | Revenue generated by the placement |

<Warning>
  Share sensitive information such as revenue with care. You can include only the metrics you need.
</Warning>

***

## Step 5: Share the catalog

Once you've finished configuring, share the catalog with advertisers.

1. On the catalog detail page, click **Copy share link**.
2. Send the copied link to advertisers by email, messenger, etc.
3. If you set a password, send the password as well.

### What advertisers can do

Advertisers who receive the catalog link can:

1. View the list of placements in the catalog.
2. Review each placement's information (size, type, performance, etc.).
3. Submit an **allocation request** for the placements they want.

***

## Manage catalogs

### Add/remove placements

You can add or remove placements from an existing catalog at any time.

1. Go to the catalog detail page.
2. Click **Manage placements**.
3. Add or remove placements.

### Change sharing settings

You can also change sharing settings at any time.

* **Public → Private**: The existing link no longer works.
* **Add a password**: Viewers must enter the new password to access the catalog.
* **Change the password**: The old password is no longer valid.

<Note>
  Catalogs are shared by catalog ID, so the link address itself doesn't change. Only the settings change.
</Note>

### Delete a catalog

You can delete a catalog when you no longer need it.

* Deleting a catalog **keeps the placements it contained**.
* Previously shared links no longer work.

    1. The catalog is in **Public** status
    2. If you set a password, you sent the correct password
    3. The link was copied exactly

  <Accordion title="I want to change the catalog link">
    Catalog links are based on the catalog ID and can't be changed. To invalidate a link, change the catalog to **Private**, or delete it and create a new one.

  <Accordion title="I want to share only with specific advertisers">
    Use the **password protection** feature. Set the catalog to public and add a password, so only advertisers you've given the password to can access it.
