# Monitor External Creatives

> Review external creative logs and learn how to block or unblock creatives.

## Who this guide is for

This guide is for operators and admins who review external ad creatives and block them according to retailer policy. You need permission to view creative logs and manage blocks.

## Review external creative logs

**1. Open the external creative log**

Under **Creative Monitoring**, select **Log**.

**2. Search or filter creatives**

Search by creative ID or choose a registered network in the **Ad Network** filter. Select **Reset** to clear filters if needed. Use the pagination controls below the list to view more results.

**3. Review the list and details**

The list shows a thumbnail, creative ID, ad source, impressions, first seen, last seen, and status. Select a row to open details and review available information such as the external campaign ID, active period, creative size, and advertiser. IAB category appears in the list when category data is available.

## Block a creative

Select **Block** on the creative's row. Confirm that it is the right creative in the dialog, then confirm **Block**. Check that the status changes to **Blocked**. This blocks only that external creative, not all creatives or the whole ad source.

## Unblock a creative

**1. Open the block list**

Under **Creative Monitoring**, select **Block List**.

**2. Find and verify the creative**

Search by creative ID and select the row to check that the details match the intended creative.

**3. Unblock the creative**

Select **Unblock** in the row, then select **Unblock** again in the confirmation dialog. Confirm that the item no longer appears in the block list.

Unblocking allows the external network to return the creative again. It does not guarantee that the network will return it or that it will be served. Check subsequent activity in the log.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | What to check |
| - | - |
| A creative does not appear in the log | Verify the creative ID, check that the **Ad Network** filter is set to **All Sources**, and review other pages of results. |
| A blocked creative appears again | Check that its status is **Blocked**. A block applies to one combination of ad source, external campaign ID, and creative ID. If any of these three values differs, it is a separate item. |
| You cannot find an item in the block list | Check the creative's status and ad source in the log, then search the block list by creative ID. |
