Orders, Line Items, creatives, and links between Line Items and creatives each have their own status. Activating or archiving one object does not necessarily change the status of the others. After a change, review each object's status on its detail page. ## Order status | Status | Meaning and next action | | - | - | | **Draft** | The Order has been created but is not ready for Line Items. Select **Activate** on its detail page before adding items. | | **Active** | The Order is active. Review its period and budget while managing Line Items. | | **Archived** | The Order is archived. If **Restore** is available on the detail page, you can restore it. | To change an Order's status, open it from **Orders** and select **Activate**, **Archive**, or **Restore** on its detail page. Review the confirmation dialog, confirm the action, and check the updated status. Archiving an Order also archives its non-archived Line Items and cancels their assignments. Review their delivery status before archiving the Order. ## Line Item status | Status | Meaning and available action | | - | - | | **Draft** | The initial status after creation. Review the item and select **Activate** on its detail page. Draft items cannot be assigned to inventory. | | **Ready** | The item is ready for creative linking and delivery preparation. Activation alone does not start ad delivery. | | **Preparing / Delivering** | The Line Item changes to Delivering when an Allocation is published. Actual delivery can still depend on request conditions and dates, so check the detail page and linked Allocation status. | | **Archived** | The item is archived. You cannot add new Allocations. Select **Restore** on its detail page when the Order is active and restore conditions are met. | Select **Activate** on a draft Line Item's detail page to move it to Ready. A draft Line Item cannot be assigned to inventory. To end or stop using an item, select **Archive** on its detail page. Archiving cancels its linked allocations. While the item is archived, existing allocations are shown but their status cannot be changed. Read and confirm the dialog, then check the updated status and allocation state. ## Edit limits during delivery * You cannot change the ad type after creating the Line Item. * For a **Preparing** or **Delivering** Line Item, the start time cannot be changed and the end time cannot be shortened. You can extend the end time, but not beyond the Order end time. If a field is disabled or saving fails, check the Line Item status, the Order period, and the validation message. ## Temporary stop versus ending delivery Orders and Line Items have no **Pause** status or button. To stop one creative, deactivate its link in the creative's links list. If the Line Item has a **Published** assignment, you cannot deactivate the link and can only adjust its schedule. **Archive** is not a pause. Archiving an Order also archives its non-archived Line Items and cancels their assignments, and archiving a Line Item cancels its linked assignments. Restoring does not bring cancelled assignments back, so select **Request approval** again or request a new assignment to deliver again. To stop or end a **Published** assignment, ask your operator; a **Finished** assignment cannot be requested again. For actions by assignment status, see [Request an inventory assignment](https://docs.aiderx.io/guides/for-advertisers/en/allocation-request.md) and the operator guide [Review and manage assignments](https://docs.aiderx.io/guides/for-retailers/en/allocation-review.md). ## Restore an archived item * An Order can be restored with **Restore** before its end date. * A Line Item can be restored with **Restore** when its Order is active, its start time is in the future, and its end time is after its start. A restored Line Item returns to **Ready**. * Restoring an Order does not restore its archived Line Items or cancelled assignments. Restore each Line Item separately and request the assignments again. ## Troubleshoot | Situation | What to check | | - | - | | The Activate action is missing | Check the current status and account permissions. An already active item does not show the draft action. | | A creative still appears active after archiving | Creative and Line Item link statuses are separate. Review the link and allocation statuses separately. | | Delivery does not resume after restore | Check Order and Line Item dates, creative and link status and schedule, and allocation approval and delivery status. | | An edit field is locked | Preparing or Delivering items cannot change their start time or shorten their end time.
